thai ceramic
A small Sawankhalok pot with beautiful, almost snakeskinlike, craqueled glazing. The interior with a attractive incrusstation. The Sawankhalok style is perhaps the most know Thai art style from the 15th and 16th century. Its simplicity is elevated by high craftmanship and perfect proportions. This is a fine example. The base is unglazed which is typical. It has some normal fading of the glaze and one small chip.
