Early 19th Century Demi Lune Console

This demi lune console is of a classic design with a twist. The multiangular shape of the base and top points to a moorish influence. Alltough made in Spain local Moorish rule left a mark, especially on the southern countryside. This is probably were this rare console was made. The wood is walnut and has a beautiful soft patina with old paint residues. Its structure is rigid and overall great proportions.
