SOLD Primitive wabi chest
Great 19th century chest from the Pyrinees. The front and top made from one slab chestnut planks. This chest was made in a tradition going back to medieval times were solid wooden planks were pegged and nailed together to make simple beautiful and functional furniture. Time has given this piece a extra in the form of a unique patina which works very well in combination with its organic shapes. Some remains of the original iron cladding on the top.
